New level crossing gates

Saturday August 29 was a big day in Maam Cross – we erected a set of level crossing gates within our site, but adjacent to the R336 to Maam Bridge, and Leenane.

The gates have been positioned on the original trackbed directly opposite the disused original trackbed (towards Clifden ) on the other side of the road. They certainly have made our station site more visible, and are also a statement of intent re future expansion plans!
